Décès de Kelvin Kiptum, marathonien kenyan, suite à un accident
Une onde de choc traverse le Kenya après la mort soudaine de Kelvin Kiptum, prodige du marathon. Le président William Ruto a exprimé sa profonde tristesse face à cet événement, rendant hommage à Kiptum comme à ‘un sportif extraordinaire’ et ‘sans doute l’un des meilleurs sportifs au monde’. Ruto a souligné l’impact de Kiptum qui a ‘brisé les barrières pour établir un record du marathon’, le qualifiant de ‘héros de notre avenir’. Le jeune athlète de 24 ans, reconnu mondialement, laisse derrière lui un héritage d’exception dans l’univers du sport.
