Best of Africa Awards : Le prix « History Maker » décerné à Fatma Samoura !

La Secrétaire Générale et Déléguée Générale de la FIFA pour l’Afrique, Fatma Samoura, a été récompensée en tant que « History Maker » (personne ayant marqué l’histoire), le dimanche 6 octobre, à Londres, à l’occasion des Best of Africa Awards, informe la FIFA. 

Prix remis par Rio Ferdinand 

Le prix lui a été remis par l’ancien défenseur et capitaine de Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, en reconnaissance de son travail à la FIFA, où elle occupe le poste de Secrétaire Générale depuis mai 2016, date à laquelle elle est devenue la toute première femme africaine musulmane à assumer cette fonction.

Selon l’instance, sur son site internet, « Les Best of Africa Awards ont lieu chaque année à Londres et réunissent certains des membres les plus influents de la diaspora africaine vivant et travaillant au Royaume-Uni, afin de mettre en lumière l’œuvre positive qu’ils réalisent en faveur des communautés dans leur pays et à l’étranger ».

Les prix Best of Africa, qui se tiennent chaque année à Londres, rassemblent les membres les plus influents de la diaspora africaine vivant et travaillant au Royaume-Uni, afin de souligner les réalisations positives qu’ils ont accomplies auprès de communautés locales et étrangères.
